St. Albans VT – January 18, 2022 – Kittell, Branagan, and Sargent (KBS) is pleased to announce that Andrew Bachand and Mark Mayer have been named Co-Managing Shareholders of the firm effective October 8, 2021. Andy and Mark succeed Gregory Sargent, a Founding Shareholder, who has been the Managing Shareholder since 2007. Greg will continue as an active Shareholder with the firm, continuing to take care of his many long-term clients.
Andy received his A.S. in Accounting from Champlain College. He joined KBS in 1986 and was promoted to Shareholder in 2000. He specializes in serving the unique needs of nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Vermont as well as audits of Governmental and Nonprofit Entities. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). He has served on the boards of numerous organizations in the area including serving as Treasurer for Franklin County Home Health Agency and Friends of Northern Lake Champlain and Chairman of the St Mary’s Parish Council. When he is not serving his clients, Andy enjoys hunting, fishing, and just getting outdoors.

Mark received his B.S. in Business Administration from St. Michael’s College. He joined KBS in 2000 and was promoted to Shareholder in 2016. He serves clients in the construction, health care, manufacturing, and wholesale industries. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Vermont Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). He is a current member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. When he is not serving his clients, Mark enjoys spending time with this family, golfing, and hiking with his two rescue dogs.
